Workshop Update Early August

Friday, 8th August, 2025

Today was a relatively quiet day after all the excitement of last Tuesdays boiler lift. The team have almost completed the dig out of

our recently moved Vanwide freight van. It was full of vegetation and general debris from a long time ago. We have sorted out the relative types of waste and disposed of it

responsibly. Also there are some items we may be able to sell and aid the funding of the restoration.

We can report that the reverser bracket funding has been agreed from one of our supporters so we expect to issue a work order to the foundry soon.

Inside the work shop progress was made on the machining of one the two brake beams. See picture of the brake beam on the Lathe.
