46428 at the Barry Scrapyard

The BR Era of 46428 | 46428's Journey to Bury

Here you find a collection of photographs showing LMS Ivatt Class, 2-6-0 during the Barry Scrapyard Era. 46428 was number one hundred and six of the engines to leave Barry Scrapyard. She was built in December 1948 and withdrawn in November 1966, less than eighteen years in BR ownership. The engine arrived at Barry in September 1967 and left in October 1979, giving a total of twelve years and one month inside the yard.
