Workshop Update 12th December 2019

Thursday, 12th December, 2019

In November, for the Armistice period, the Bury Standard 4 Group prepared a tribute which was mounted on the Ivatt frame outside our workshop at Bury Bolton Street.

Work has been done in further establishing a satellite workshop facility in the container area at Baron Street.

Work continues on recovering and refurbishing the Ivatt parts.

We have bought 6 tender axle box covers and 6 top tender axle box slipper plates as well as a top feed cladding cover (bonnet).

It is planned for the Ivatt frame, now it is sandblasted and painted, to be moved into our workshop and mounted on frame stands to make future work easier out of the weather.
