Boys done good today. Good attendance and they split up into groups and attacked the lapping in of the Regulator valve to 'J' pipe mating surfaces. No gaskets here as it's 

 

metal to metal. A smear of jointing compound and it's all bolted up. A couple more superheater elements in position plus more fitting out in the cab.

 

A new face, welcome Martin. Today saw the final few superheater elements installed. We are making significant progress towards the goal of completing a steam test

 

on our retubed boiler and seeing our loco return to service.

 

Also a load more cans crushed. We weigh them in and it gives us another income stream. Every little helps!
